Ayodeji Peter IFEGBESAN holds the doctorate degree from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Arts and Social Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate students’ courses in Social Studies Education and Curriculum Studies. His research interest is in issues of human-environment interaction-an aspect of Social Studies, curriculum development analysis, environmental education, waste management, natural resource conservation and sustainable development.

He has published over 40 articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings and chapter in books. He is a recipient of several scholarship awards, fellowships, and conference grants. He is a member of the Social Studies Association of Nigeria (SOSAN), Curriculum Organisation of Nigeria (CON), Nigeria, North American Association of Environmental Education (NAEE), World Council on Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI), World Environmental Education Congress, International Society for the Social Studies (ISSS), USA, International Environmental Education Network and Consortium of Researchers in International Collaboration, India
